What it means for Green Bay: The Packers, in attempt to clear the salary cap, decided that Desmond Bishop was the easiest player to let go. The Packers have proven to be invested in Brad Jones and AJ Hawk (what a surprise) as their starters.

What it means for Desmond Bishop: His injury from last preseason must have not healed 100%. But he is young, he is only 28 and was very productive before his injury.

What I think: I think that the Packers made a quick decision and it could haunt them later. Desmond Bishop before injury was considered by many as the NFL’s most underrated player. However his injury was bad enough for the Packers to let him go. Desmond Bishop AT LEAST would be a solid starter for any team, if healthy anyway. Reasonable fits would be Buffalo, N.Y Jets, Cincinnati, Denver, Kansas City, Tennessee, NY Giants, Minnesota, Atlanta and Tampa Bay
